It was of really high demand in the Smartphone market as the older version lacked a lot of features and bugs to be solved. Then Google came upon with the next best Android version to be there. Lollipop was then launched to meet the requirements of the Android users which now has exceeded over 20% of all the Android Smartphone’s present in the world.

Few months back the distribution statistics as per Wikipedia showed us that there was %17 of android users who are running their Smartphone on Android Kitat version. It also includes the updates for Android Lollipop like 4.4.3 and also 4.4.4.Both of them are also including in this stats.

It is most concern that still Jelly bean has the more percentage of Android users dwelling in. But we also know that Google will be launching new Android version L in the fall, whose dates are not told. This new version release would restrict the growth in parentage of users using Lollipop because this new version has created a great anticipation among android users now. As Google as aid in I/O event, that they will be releasing the version L in autumn.
